Job Description:
Rana Books Company is a leading book publishing company that is dedicated to publishing quality books. We are looking for an Author Acquisition Specialist to join our team on a commission basis. As an Author Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for finding new authors and bringing them on board to publish their books with us.
Responsibilities:
- Research potential authors through various channels such as social media, writing communities, and literary events.
- Reach out to potential authors and introduce them to Rana Books Company and the benefits of publishing with us.
- Guide potential authors through the publishing process, answering any questions they may have and addressing any concerns.
- Close deals with potential authors and help them select the appropriate publishing package that meets their needs.
- Work with our editorial team to ensure the author's manuscript meets our quality standards.
- Maintain relationships with authors and ensure their satisfaction throughout the publishing process.
- Provide regular updates to the management team on your progress and suggest new strategies for author acquisition.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in sales or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the publishing industry and book marketing strategies is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- Goal-oriented and able to work under pressure.
- Passionate about books and literature.
Compensation:
This is a commission-based role. You will receive a 50% commission on the publishing package that each author selects. You can expect to earn up to $2,000 per month if you successfully bring on 20 authors per month. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is self-motivated and looking for a flexible schedule.
